Pominville Dance Project prides itself in providing high quality training and choreography, while always maintaining a positive and encouraging environment for dancers of all ages to learn and grow. Whether you are an experienced performer or an absolute beginner, Kayleigh Pominville’s program is entirely focused on accommodating YOU to help you reach your full potential.
Despite her young age, Kayleigh Pominville is an experienced dance teacher and competitive dancer herself. She has been dancing for 9 years, assisting dance classes since she was 11, and was given the opportunity to teach her very own classes as the youngest staff member at her dance studio at age 13. Kayleigh is now 16 years old living in New Paltz, NY, and is the very proud founder and director of Pominville Dance Project. She has won many awards throughout her own dance competition journey, as well as leadership recognitions from her dance studio. Although the dance industry is not always the most positive space, Kayleigh Pominville works hard to change the face of dance. Creating a safe and empowering environment for all dancers to house their passion for the arts while also providing powerful choreography and high quality teaching will always be her first priority.
“I’ve always known that this is what I was meant to do.
And I truly only want to do good with it – not in the sense that the business is successful, but I want to do good for the dance community as a whole. I’m doing this for all of the dancers out there in need of a home. I want to create and provide that unexplainable, cherished family of people brought together simply by the love for this art form… that somehow turns into so much more. It really is something special, something that only those lucky enough to be a part of will ever fully understand. Everyone is welcome here at PDP. Everyone is encouraged to come join this family. I want to raise hard-working dancers and good human beings. I want to be the person that my dance teachers were for me; I want to challenge you, push you to be the best version of yourself, while also always being the voice there to encourage you at your worst.”
